Dog Bite Prevention Week

Events Safety Around Dogs

It’s currently National Dog Bite Prevention Week in the USA, focusing on educating people about preventing dog bites. According to the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), “with an estimated population of 70 million dogs living in U.S. households, millions of people, most of them children, are bitten by dogs every year. The majority of these bites, if not all, are preventable.”

Please check out the infographic below and resources on the AVMA site. Much of it is applicable to us in the UK where we are unfortunately hearing of so many more dog bites and attacks recently – most of which could be prevented.
